Ordinance of secession, <1861-1873>[ongoing].

The Convention of the Commonwealth adopted this ordinance to repeal the ratification of the Constitution of the United States on April 17, 1861 and to resume the rights and powers granted under the Constitution. With this document, Virginia seceded from the Union.
